China protests Dalai Lama presence at Obama event in Washington D.C.

China on Friday protested the Dalai Lama's presence at a public event attended by President Barack Obama, saying the U.S. was exploiting the issue of Tibet for political purposes.

Oh don't get uppity now China, not with all the problems in the Middle East and Russia and North Korea acting like they are ready to start World War III. The Dalai Lama is an important political and social figurehead and little else. His appearance at a social gathering does not say anything.
