I think this is a good policy. I mean not only does it pose a security risk but if everyone is holding out there arms to get a selfie it creates a lot of needless traffic. It has been more than a decade since I was last in a Smithsonian museum and back then there weren't a lot of problems with people taking selfies, I can't even imagine what its like today.
