Vitek Monitor
« on: March 13, 2015, 11:16 pm »
I've got this Vitek monitor, someone gave it to me, it's got audio, video, coax and other ports on the back, but the resolution is pretty poor unless I use a VGA adapter. Anyone else got one of these and use it as a TV or display panel? It's being used as a computer monitor at the moment, it's decent for that.

According to the Vitek website at http://www.vitekcctv.com/Sections.asp?SectionID=1001 it seems that their monitors are designed to be used with surveillance cameras so I would not expect it to perform the same as a TV when using the A/V inputs.

it is pretty decent as a computer monitor but I definitely wouldn't recommend it as a TV. The quality just isn't high enough for it to be put in that position of even being considered a TV in any way whatsoever. It's interesting that it's even been brought up in that type of matter because it's pretty cheap.

Ugh. I wouldn't even use it for a computer, but I'm just picky I guess. I understand that it isn't even that great for it's intended purpose let alone a TV.
