Arcade Cabinet
« on: December 28, 2015, 02:48 pm »
I want to build out a decent sized arcade cabinet that can play some decent MAME games.  Probably something running a Raspberry Pi should suffice.  I'd like to find a low power screen that will go to sleep mode without spending a lot of money.  If possible I may turn the cabinet into a NAS as well to make use of the storage space within the cabinet itself.

I would highly recommend visiting the MAME subreddit. There a lot of great guides, support, and information on what parts to get. Also helpful guides for setting up the software side of things such as Hyperspin.
Here's the link .

An arcade cabinet sounds really neat. It sounds like something that would be fairly easy to use. I would have something like that if I had multiple games and gaming systems. It would be something that would keep my games easy to access and easy to display as well.
