North of Toronto Into FTA / OTA / ARS
« on: July 01, 2015, 01:34 pm »
Hi- new to group- hope there is some current info/testers .

Longtime  FTA do it yourself-er.  Missing the days of bin files- but  that's life in a digital world.
I also support Broadcast OVer the  Air and any other "off line" ways of communication.-

I  have come up with the term "Infrastrucure Independant" to best discernible the kind of testing / experimenting I like to do..... Yes it includes ARS - amateur Radio Service - shortwave.... Actually ;  long wave, up to microwave.

Have finally upgraded from my old Fortec to the Geosat. Pro for S2 birds.

Also into antennea home brew . But no IKS  play - see the "infrastructure part" lol...
Maybe I will-  but hate having to pay bandwidth usage fees for my TV . (Unlimited ISP plan a must )

Like most-I'm  anti Rogers/Bell et el and the stranglehold.  Would rather learn to read a book than pay for crappy Canadian Content.

Happy to chat with anyone interested to testing/ experimenting  - espcially if  local to the Newmarket - Bradford Ontario Area. I like climbing towers- if you need help with an Install/ take down - let me know.
