Got the core electronics package today. The Mighty Mini is included with the LNB's and feed. Lately my 4DTV's been acting up, dumping it, going totally Rainier. In this for the long haul. Rainier's adding more channels to their packages this year and I want to be ready.  :)

Placed my order for one of these movers too.

Need to reduce my equipment footprint on my entertainment center.

The Core Electronics Package is a great upgrade. It allows you to rid yourself of all the old worn out electronic gear at the dish. It includes our new Mighty Mini Tracker, Harvard Scientific tuned ortho feedhorn, two NJR PLL lnb's and high isolation H/V switch. This interfaces with the 9865's logic to switch polarity. No need for clunky old problem prone servo's. The dual PLL LNB's assure solid lock with Rainier's high modulation DVB-S2 signals.

You can get the Core Electronics Package here: http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/lnbplus.htm (http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/lnbplus.htm)

In 2019 Rainier will continue to grow. More channels are launching with some great pricing. Lawyers are working on the contracts as I write this. Were also going to be releasing a New spectrum analyzer / dish alignment tuning meter, so the DIY folk can get the best out of their dish.

Rainier continues to be dedicated to bringing back c band.

A Special Thanks to all who support Rainier. We do it all for you.

My Mighty Mini shipped today. When I get it hooked up I'll post a review. I currently got the AP-600, so it should be a easy swap out and program in the satellites to get it up and running. Looking forward to its small size, sitting next to the D9865H.  ;D

Good deal. Once I get the core electronics pack installed I'll add my feedback. Can't go wrong going with Rainier. They have a proven track record for doing it right. It's too bad many get sucked in by the bottomfeeder mentality from those shady fta satellite dealers then get burned. Rainier's always been truthful, upfront and straight with me. I commend them for their professionalism and excellent business practices.

Great Frank the more input the better. Not concerned about the Mighty Mini's quality as Rainier's proved themselves with quality products over and over.

Don't worry about the idiot trolls that proliferate at those fta satellite forums. Their mentality is that of a third grader, they show it every time they open those diarrhea mouths.  I have one piece of advice for them. GROW UP, will they? NOPE!  :(

Wanted all to know who's following this thread I got the Mighty Mini yesterday. It's really neat! I hooked it up this morning and programmed in the satellites. Programmings a breeze. I love the direct one button command to go to a satellite. I'm going to post a full review about it next week. I'm going back to playing again. Thanks Rainier for coming out with such a fine product.

Got my core electronics package yesterday. Nice gear. The mighty mini is skinny and long, not what I figured. It will fit nicely on the shelf next to the 9865. The Harvard feed is stellar, machined really nice. The NJR lnb's are sized like the old cal amp mini mags. Will fit nice under the cover. Now I need to wait for the weather to cooperate to get it installed on the dish. Looking forward bigdishjohn to your review of the mighty mini box.

4K has big issues NO 4K CONTENT and proper delivery means. Its headed down the same road as 3dtv. You can make a TV have 8 trillion pixels, but when the only content to fill it has the picture quality of 1950's TV resolution it don't work. Small pizza dish, cable and iptv providers can only deliver hundreds of pixels due to bandwidth constrictions, this will not change as they keep tightening up the pipe to jam more garbage in the bag. In fact Comcast HITS that delivers to many cable providers just announced they'll be increasing the amount of compression they will be using. This is backward thinking and going to speed up 4K's demise. Unfortunately with all the cord cutting going on they need to cut costs to stay in business, this is one way.

Rainier is the closest thing to a true 4k delivery system with its master HD channels. Rainier's channels actually look great with a 4K set. Put ANY other providers signal on the 4K set its smeared washed out and dull. I don't see Rainier dumping millions into R&D to make a 4K buzzword receiver with the 4K industry in flux.

The Mighty Mini was a worthwhile investment for Rainier because dish movers are an integral part for Rainier's full arc system. The AP-600's ran out. Pansat (Linkbox) wasn't going to make any more. In fact Linkbox is getting out of making any satellite receivers I heard. FTA don't have the monies needed to engineer a product and get a return on it any more. FTA dealers are losing money miserably as content and product continues to dry up. This shows how they now are switching gears away from FTA and getting behind pizza services to try to make a buck.

The V boxes Rick and others were selling has dried up. That only left a poor choice mover full of issues being sold from a steel named company. Rainier gave up on that guy and his product long ago. All that did was cause Rainier grief by the childish antics that transpired because of a possible working relationship. Rainier is a big boy now that can stand on its own, providing products it needs. That's why the Mighty Mini came out. It provides their customers with a quality product. I have the Mighty Mini, its a good quality product that's very well engineered. I recommend it. I reviewed it in another thread here.

C band is a little bit of an investment up front, but after that its nothing but savings. All this high speed fiber data the giants are trying to push down your throat is a game to make you to a slave to them for life. The game begins, suck you in with teaser rates to get you hooked on their system. Then after a period of time the shellacking begins. Data caps, throttling back, extra fees, hidden fees, access fees, bill creep, every time you turn around the costs go up. Before you know it you've spent more than you would've for the initial investment of a c band setup with programming from Rainier. Do the math, its pay me now or pay me later. Over the years c bands saved me so much. I'll never buy into the dirty plans the giants want.

All this high speed fiber data the giants are trying to push down your throat is a game to make you to a slave to them for life.

Only kind of 'fiber' I want in my life are good breakfast cereals & bran muffins to keep my colon happy.  ;D

All this effort to create a network of data-hungry users streaming their iptv services over 5G bandwidth stolen from C-band services on devices  with tiny screens at low resolution so compressed picture quality can't be discerned is baloney!

50-60 years ago we were captive to low resolution analog TV on glass bottles for video entertainment and now we've come full circle, with the huge difference that today's entertainment is far more costly.
Biggest investment was the television, some flat ribbon cable and an aerial, with a tall pole if rural that is. Suburbia looked like a forest back then.

Agreed, initial investment in C-band does cost some but the difference in resolution, freedom from data caps and service lagging is well worth it. Especially as the service Rainier offers is first article uncompressed signal from the providers.

Back to our Mighty Mini program which is already in progress.  ;)

Looks like the Titanium ASC1 mover's bit the dust. Brian Gohl (Mr Titanium himself) said the following.

"Recently I have discussed the future of the ASC1 DiSEqC positioner controller with our resellers and have had to make the difficult decision to end production. I have decided to not manufacture another batch."

This don't look good for the FTA market. Last summer Rick Caylor from Ricks satellite announced he no longer would be selling the VBOX movers. I see a trend happening. If the fta market was growing like they boast would they give up such an essential product as a dish mover?  This proves the dwindling amount of fta channels and poor products has taken a toll on their sales.

Rainier on the other hand this year brought out their Mighty Mini mover. Rainier continues to add channels with the big cable networks being added to Variety and Variety plus. If the C band satellite market was shrinking Rainier would've too thrown in the towel. Proves folks want quality products and good content which Rainier continues to deliver, and will pay for it. Fta fails miserably at that. Rainier's been gobbling up the market by doing it right.

Rainier continues to be the winner here, despite what's being said by the fta crowd including
Mr Gohl. Why would Brian be in the process of pushing pizza pie services if his Fta was so secure?

At one time there was 2.5 million subscription subscribers with c band satellite. As channels got pulled first the sports, then movies, then the rest, the numbers went down considerably. Whats now happening to FTA is the same. Channels are encrypting, or going to another form of delivery for the market intended. This is one reason why the FTA dealers are going under. The other reason is the market FTA dealers target can't afford much. This is why they want TV for free in the first place. Economically no business can flourish let alone survive without income. Many FTA folk acquired their systems by scrounging for next to nothing. If they had to do that you know they probably can't spend much. Without content available, even these folk look elsewhere for entertainment. This is why FTA is failing and equipment is drying up.

Rainier's growth is because we mostly target a more upscale market that are looking for quality products and good content. These people are still around. They're the folk who made up the 2.5 million subs back in the day. This is also why were able to bring out such fine new products as the Mighty Mini line of dish positioners. With the program content increasing in our channel packs we continue to grow. We know there is a market for what were doing and capturing it.  Rainier really don't want to leave anyone out that has a big dish from experiencing the best TV possible. This is why we sold our  D9865H receiver in our anniversary sale for less than cost. We can't do that for long though or we would be out of business, but we wanted give the less fortunate a chance to experience the finer things in life. Rainier cares about people from all walks of life.

The Mighty Mini I bought been working great. No problems at all. http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/lnbplus.htm (http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/lnbplus.htm)

Now that all the other movers went belly up, Rainier's the only place to get a mover of any quality. The same with c band subscription TV. Everyone else went belly up but Rainier's going strong. Proves they're doing it right.

These other guys need to take a business lesson from Rainier. When you continuously lie and screw your customer you end up belly up.

Dominic, HBO signals for the US are in Arris DC-II. Even if there was a PowerVu signal meant for a foreign country you can't show it in a different territory. Each territory has there own rights.

Rainier isn't concerned about getting HBO right now. In fact HBO is one of the highest priced movie services out there. Around $20.00 a month extra plus your basic $85.00 a month cost with cable or small dish. It adds up really fast. We offer many fine uncut movies monthly with the Sony channels that we now offer standard in our Variety pak of channels. All for the low cost of $29.00 a month. Rainier really saves you money.

Rainier is focused on getting many fine networks in PowerVu launched including these very popular channels.

If your not a subscriber yet, you've missed the train. Your missing out on the best kept secret for your big dish.
