C band is a little bit of an investment up front, but after that its nothing but savings. All this high speed fiber data the giants are trying to push down your throat is a game to make you to a slave to them for life. The game begins, suck you in with teaser rates to get you hooked on their system. Then after a period of time the shellacking begins. Data caps, throttling back, extra fees, hidden fees, access fees, bill creep, every time you turn around the costs go up. Before you know it you've spent more than you would've for the initial investment of a c band setup with programming from Rainier. Do the math, its pay me now or pay me later. Over the years c bands saved me so much. I'll never buy into the dirty plans the giants want.

All this high speed fiber data the giants are trying to push down your throat is a game to make you to a slave to them for life.

Only kind of 'fiber' I want in my life are good breakfast cereals & bran muffins to keep my colon happy.  ;D

All this effort to create a network of data-hungry users streaming their iptv services over 5G bandwidth stolen from C-band services on devices  with tiny screens at low resolution so compressed picture quality can't be discerned is baloney!

50-60 years ago we were captive to low resolution analog TV on glass bottles for video entertainment and now we've come full circle, with the huge difference that today's entertainment is far more costly.
Biggest investment was the television, some flat ribbon cable and an aerial, with a tall pole if rural that is. Suburbia looked like a forest back then.

Agreed, initial investment in C-band does cost some but the difference in resolution, freedom from data caps and service lagging is well worth it. Especially as the service Rainier offers is first article uncompressed signal from the providers.

Back to our Mighty Mini program which is already in progress.  ;)

Looks like the Titanium ASC1 mover's bit the dust. Brian Gohl (Mr Titanium himself) said the following.

"Recently I have discussed the future of the ASC1 DiSEqC positioner controller with our resellers and have had to make the difficult decision to end production. I have decided to not manufacture another batch."

This don't look good for the FTA market. Last summer Rick Caylor from Ricks satellite announced he no longer would be selling the VBOX movers. I see a trend happening. If the fta market was growing like they boast would they give up such an essential product as a dish mover?  This proves the dwindling amount of fta channels and poor products has taken a toll on their sales.

Rainier on the other hand this year brought out their Mighty Mini mover. Rainier continues to add channels with the big cable networks being added to Variety and Variety plus. If the C band satellite market was shrinking Rainier would've too thrown in the towel. Proves folks want quality products and good content which Rainier continues to deliver, and will pay for it. Fta fails miserably at that. Rainier's been gobbling up the market by doing it right.

Rainier continues to be the winner here, despite what's being said by the fta crowd including
Mr Gohl. Why would Brian be in the process of pushing pizza pie services if his Fta was so secure?

At one time there was 2.5 million subscription subscribers with c band satellite. As channels got pulled first the sports, then movies, then the rest, the numbers went down considerably. Whats now happening to FTA is the same. Channels are encrypting, or going to another form of delivery for the market intended. This is one reason why the FTA dealers are going under. The other reason is the market FTA dealers target can't afford much. This is why they want TV for free in the first place. Economically no business can flourish let alone survive without income. Many FTA folk acquired their systems by scrounging for next to nothing. If they had to do that you know they probably can't spend much. Without content available, even these folk look elsewhere for entertainment. This is why FTA is failing and equipment is drying up.

Rainier's growth is because we mostly target a more upscale market that are looking for quality products and good content. These people are still around. They're the folk who made up the 2.5 million subs back in the day. This is also why were able to bring out such fine new products as the Mighty Mini line of dish positioners. With the program content increasing in our channel packs we continue to grow. We know there is a market for what were doing and capturing it.  Rainier really don't want to leave anyone out that has a big dish from experiencing the best TV possible. This is why we sold our  D9865H receiver in our anniversary sale for less than cost. We can't do that for long though or we would be out of business, but we wanted give the less fortunate a chance to experience the finer things in life. Rainier cares about people from all walks of life.

The Mighty Mini I bought been working great. No problems at all. http://www.shop.rainiersatellite.net/webstore/lnbplus.htm

Now that all the other movers went belly up, Rainier's the only place to get a mover of any quality. The same with c band subscription TV. Everyone else went belly up but Rainier's going strong. Proves they're doing it right.

These other guys need to take a business lesson from Rainier. When you continuously lie and screw your customer you end up belly up.

Dominic, HBO signals for the US are in Arris DC-II. Even if there was a PowerVu signal meant for a foreign country you can't show it in a different territory. Each territory has there own rights.

Rainier isn't concerned about getting HBO right now. In fact HBO is one of the highest priced movie services out there. Around $20.00 a month extra plus your basic $85.00 a month cost with cable or small dish. It adds up really fast. We offer many fine uncut movies monthly with the Sony channels that we now offer standard in our Variety pak of channels. All for the low cost of $29.00 a month. Rainier really saves you money.

Rainier is focused on getting many fine networks in PowerVu launched including these very popular channels.

If your not a subscriber yet, you've missed the train. Your missing out on the best kept secret for your big dish.
