thanks for your input. Dished on c-band is way better cuz my couple of my cousins in Buffalo New York and Canada used to have it like I said the other night also if someone wants to get c-band I don't think there's nothing wrong with DirecTV now streaming up but the picture quality still way better correct I just right now I can't afford a system of us I get some scraps on eBay do you have cable yourself or you just do everything on c-band for now big dishner
The problem with streaming services such as Directnow, Sling, Hulu, Netflix, etc besides the poor picture quality, is you end up using excessive bandwidth that if you're not already will get billed for in the future. Now you have your subscription fees and bandwidth fees from your ISP. That can get really pricey. With Rainier C band you pay for the TV channels that's all, it's a no-brainer. Rainier offers a good selection of programming currently and continues to add good channels. The Sony's are excellent and show great movies.
If you went the FTA route with those cheap receivers you're not only getting a junk receiver with no support that gives you grief, but the content is poor and continues to dwindle. Soon all that will be left with FTA will be the shopping and religious channels who you pay for by you donating to them. Not top Nielsen content for sure. Rainier's D9865 can get all FTA and pay channels. Its built well and lasts. Once again, it's a no-brainer.
As far as equipment goes for c band it's you get what you pay for. If you can't afford quality gear like Rainier sells you're better off looking for a good old 10 foot system from somebody that is getting rid of. Do not get sucked in by any of the Chinese crap like Tek2000, Tvrosat, or Satellite Gallore sells. Those dishes give you paper thin mounts, deformed reflectors and have other quality control issues. The price Tek charges for that junk is a joke. If you really want that crap you can buy direct from China at a fraction of what he charges, probably will get better support too. Read about Tek's games here.
http://www.azboxamericas.com/unauthorised_info.cfm?id=48 In short if it's worth doing do it right. Monies spent upfront will pay off over the long run with longevity. BTW Rainier offers financing that will let you pay for it over time. You should check into that.
I don't have cable, pizza or streaming. I'm very satisfied with Rainier. I believe in supporting a winner and you can see that Rainier is definitely that. They continue to grow, give you quality products for fair prices, and have excellent support. They have a good work ethic and believe in doing it right.
If you get into C band Dominic go with the winner, go with Rainier.
