[SatNews] Advantech Wireless, provider of Satellite broadband communications solutions, announced that it has successfully completed a live demonstration of its Cellular Backhaul LTE Solution in Bolivia using its Next Generation VSAT Modems and Hub.
The Demonstration was intended to homologate the Advantech Wireless’ Satellite platform with the LTE eNodeB from one of the major vendors of cellular equipment in order to implement Rural Broadband Coverage in the country. The test and deployment were made in C-band and working with the Bolivian Satellite Tupac Katari. This demonstration was completed just one week after the first satellite LTE connection was successfully installed.
“Advantech Wireless VSAT Modems provide transparent and reliable IP connection to the LTE eNodeB and the cellular network,” mentioned John Landovskis, Vice President PLM & Business Development, VSAT & Modem Products at Advantech Wireless. “Our Cellular Backhaul LTE Solution is a professional VSAT solution for remote cellular areas that complements our existing product support for 2G/3G. Once again Advantech Wireless has demonstrated its technology is able to support all market applications. We are actively working with other major cellular service providers to improve their service offering using our unique A-SATTM, automatic bandwidth optimization technology.”
Advantech Wireless VSAT Modem terminals have low power consumption, unique capabilities, and the ruggedness required for operation in difficult environments. These robust terminals adapt to changing needs, facilitating the seamless upgrade of system capabilities over satellite using a simple software key. This scalability enables the initial minimal hardware investment with the option to move to a more powerful solution without having to purchase additional hardware.
