[SatNews] Aerojet Rocketdyne, a GenCorp (NYSE: GY) company, will host a roundtable discussion on its use of  additive manufacturing or 3-D printing for the design, development and test of reliable rocket engines and propulsion systems, while introducing cost-savings, new designs and products.

Over the past couple of years, Aerojet Rocketdyne has developed additive manufacturing for a range of products, from discrete component demonstrations, to hot-fire testing of entirely additively manufactured engines and propulsion systems.

The technology is being matured to benefit both legacy products, as well as enable affordability and new designs for new products, including small satellite propulsion systems; small to medium booster engines; and emerging high performance, high thrust booster engines like the AR1.
