[SatNews] A hands-on leader...The company is headed by Jay Lonsdale, who has nearly 20 years experience as a surveyor, as well as project management and survey equipment sales.
Septentrio Americas, formerly Altus Positioning Systems, Inc., today announced the appointment of Altus Positioning Systems Canada West Ltd. as a dealer for Septentrio’s Altus-brand high-precision GNSS receivers.
Based in Edmonton, Altus PS Canada West will provide sales and service for Altus GNSS products, including APS-3, APS-NR2, APS-U and APS-GeoPod, across Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. The company is headed by Jay Lonsdale, who has nearly 20 years experience as a surveyor, as well as project management and survey equipment sales.
The APS-3X enables seamless GPS+GLONASS RTK operations with either the Integrated GNSS antenna or an External GNSS antenna for maximum flexibility.
Altus PS Canada West addresses customers across the full spectrum of GNSS applications, including surveying, GIS/mapping and machine control, with a complete range of total stations, digital levels and other survey equipment, as well as Altus GNSS. The company is establishing a service center in Calgary in addition to its Edmonton facility. This will ensure that the large user base of Altus products currently being used in the region can get prompt and efficient service in Canada.
“The Altus brand is well respected in western Canada, and the Altus APS products offer unmatched quality and flexibility at an affordable price,” said Lonsdale. “There are already a number of Altus users in this area, and I see tremendous potential for growth in this region as more companies realize the benefits with a receiver that works with more than one data software.”
Neil Vancans, vice president of Septentrio Americas, stated: “Altus PS Canada West will be a great addition to the worldwide dealer network for Septentrio’s Altus-brand GNSS products, and we look forward to working with Jay Lonsdale and his team to grow our business in this important market.”
Septentrio Navigation Systems completed the acquisition of Altus Positioning Systems, based in Torrance, California, June 15, 2015.
