I had the pleasure of meeting Martin when he played in the AHL as a part of the Saint John Flames. He was one of our star players on our team. From that moment that he took the ice you knew that he was going places. Not only was he a great player, he also was friendly and well liked by all. He was an amazing player back then and continued to be outstanding his entire career. He had an amazing NHL career. Sad to see him go but it's time I guess. I wish him all the best in his retirement years.
