The New York Jets have a new head coach.

The team is hiring former Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports, via a source involved in the process. Bowles texted NFL Media's Albert Breer to confirm that he is accepting the Jets' four-year offer.

Bowles is expected to officially sign the deal Wednesday morning after spending Tuesday afternoon and evening with the team's brass, including recently hired general manager Mike Maccagnan. The contract being negotiated for Bowles will be for four years worth more than $16 million, according to Rapoport, per a source informed of the Jets' plans.

I'm not sure theres a better worst place to coach in the NFL than on the sidelines of the New York Jets. You live in the 'Big Apple' and have such passionate fans... but your players also live in the 'Big Apple' and you have such PASSIONATE fans. Jets fans are a weird bunch, they will put up with a lot so Bowles is probably secure for at least the 4 years in his contract. I can't really wish him good luck because I'm a Dolphins fan, so lets just say that I wish him well for 1 or 2 games a season against the Patriots. But not too well.
