Who else expects the NHL to now turn to the NHLPA and say "No, NHL players can't play in the Olympics, they can already participate in the World Cup and World Championships."

The NHL is already taking that stance with deputy commissioner Bill Daly saying, “If the World Cup’s a big deal, best-on-best tournament, why do we need to go to the Olympics?”

Why? Because the World Cup isn't a big deal, It never was in the past. Even the World Championships are small fries compared to the Olympics.
