Buffalo Sabres center Cody McCormick is being treated for a blood clot in his leg and will be out indefinitely, coach Ted Nolan said Sunday following practice.

This is actually quite frightening. As someone who has actually experienced this myself and had the clot move to my lung (Pulmonary Embolism) I can tell you that its not something to be taken lightly. Hopefully they are able to treat McCormick with blood thinners before it moves to a more dangerous part of the body.
